| The Rideau remix is a classy, intelligent rethink of the music. Dave was tasked with taking the 2002 tracks and giving them a sonic make over to be competitive in a market that has matured and morphed since the 2003 release. The songs, performances and musicians are still excellent and remain intact. But, advances in audio processors and other digital techniques allowed for new drums, auto-tune vocals, tempo shifts and other complex mixing processes to be applied to the music. This was done with great care and taste to not degrade the quality of the music by making it sound contrived or artificial. |

| Soul Tracks Review (Excerpt) It's Not So Easy is a solid Urban Adult Contemporary/Smooth Jazz disc in its own right; but what sets it apart from other quality Soul albums that have been released is the approach that Bostick has taken to provide a deeper appreciation for the underlying music. He hasn't just released a standard CD for a home or car stereo. He has included a CD-ROM that works tremendously in augmenting the experience and making the project more meaningful. ~ Chris Rizik |
